Luís has been an associate at Delaloa since July 2021 and Assistant Professor (tenure-track) at NOVA School of Law since February 2021, where he teaches Public Law and International Investment Law.

Before joining Delaloa, Luís completed internships in the international arbitration departments of Shearman & Sterling LLP (Paris office) and Clifford Chance LLP (Frankfurt office), during which time he was involved in several international commercial and investment arbitrations under ICC, LCIA, SCC and ICSID rules.

 

Luís graduated from the Portuguese Catholic University (LL.B) and from Yale Law School (LL.M). He holds a PhD in Public Law from the University of Lisbon. He is a member of the Portuguese Bar Association and regularly advises national and international clients on matters pertaining to his field of expertise, including constitutional and administrative law matters. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars.

Luís speaks Portuguese, English and German fluently. He has been involved in arbitration cases conducted in all three languages.
